Just a little humor...
Presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and John
Edwards were flying to a convention. Barack looked at Hillary,
chuckled and said, "You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out of
the window right now and make somebody very happy."
Hillary shrugged her shoulders and replied, "I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy."
John added, "That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10
bills out of the window and make a hundred people very happy."
Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his
copilot, "Such big-shots back there. I could throw all of them
out of the window and make 156 million people very happy."

Actually I'd be happier if the current crop of Republican candidates got dumped out of the plane. The way I see it if Obama, Hillary or Edwards got got ejected they would just get replaced with other liberal anti gun Democrats. If the current bunch of Republican candidates got dumped out of the plane, We might actually find a real RKBA conservative to replace these psuedo Republicans. 2008 is looking very dismal for Presidential candidates who will look favorable to gun owners.

I'm also a bit concerned as to what will be on the ticket in 2008.
Ever notice that we aren't even HEARING about who is running on the republican ticket?

Its all about the ratings. Because no one wants to hear about them. The Liberals hate them because they are Republicans, and the Conservatives hate them because they are moderate Liberals at best. The MSM at least makes half the people happy when they talk about Hillery Edwards Obama. But they alienate almost everyone talking about McCain Gullianie Romney. My stomach churns at the mention of any of them. Its all about the ratings.Venus Pax wrote:I'm also a bit concerned as to what will be on the ticket in 2008.

I'm afraid there isn't any hope for the Bill of rights and RKBA with this crop of candidates.

Ah ah ah, not so hasty Mr. Pasty. Guess who just might be throwing his hat in the ring? Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson!!! I like ALL of his positions and he doesn't dance around questions. He knows what he believes and he defends it. My kind of guy!!!
I know that the link I posted shows that he voted NO on more penalties for gun & drug violations, but if you look at the actual bill, you'll know why. A summary of them can be found here. All you little sleuths should be able to spot why he voted NO, and I'm sure you'll be happy. He doesn't compromise on the Constitution.

Been reading up on him. I hope he runs. Being an actor didn't hurt Mr. Reagan. He is pro 2nd amendment and pro life. I need to keep reading though but so fart I like him.repsychler wrote:Fred Thompson...That'd be interesting. I liked him as an actor, and from what I heard about him he was a good senator. I wonder how far his recognition as an actor would take him?
