Lone Star Gun Show

#1

Post by Songbird »

We're going to be in for a Rangers game the weekend of the Lone Star Gun Show in Ft. Worth. I know some gun shows are better than others and we've not been to this one before. Is it worth the $8.00 admission? My husband has a couple of long guns he wants to sell or trade for another handgun and wondered if would be worth bringing them to the show. Thanks in advance for the input!

If you have never been to it, without a doubt go check it out. He may or may not do better selling them outright to another patron.

I think this weekend's gun show is actually The Original Fort Worth Gun Show. I think it's bigger than the Lone Star show.

Well shucks! Wish we were going to be there this weekend. Guess we'll just have to settle for the smaller show. Thanks!

Lewisville's is coming up, June 31 and July 1. I haven't been to L-ville's before and plan on trying it this weekend. I also haven't looked up when the next Lone Star Gun Show is.

Our tickets for the Rangers game are for the same weekend as the Lone Star show in Fort Worth (July 7 & 8), so we will be in town then.

I'm sorry. I misunderstood and thought you were in town this past weekend for one of the Rockies' games when the Original FW Gun Show was going on.

I was not impressed with the Lone Star Gun Show that I attended. I considered it a big waste of my time and money.

Did you go to the one about a month ago?

I've never been to the Lewisville show. Where is it held? Seems like that one would actually be closer and more convenient for me.....Lewisville being practically next door to Grapevine.

It is located at 2460 South Stemmons Freeway (I35) exit 448. The Lewisville Event Center. It is in a strip mall, and used to be a Best Buy. I've been once. It was OK. I did find what I was looking for. Of course what I was looking for was a Glock 19, so that's not exactly saying a lot. It seemed a little on the smallish side, maybe comparable to the former Big Town show. I don't remember seeing a whole lot of old stuff, but I was focused that day. Cheaper than a movie, and more entertaining than most.

Cool, thanks. That's about 15 minutes from my house.

You must have a different calendar than me. I can't find June 31 on it. :headscratch Maybe I am missing something.
