Well after a few months search w/ lots of help and info from members of this board, I finally took the dive and got my first AR 15. It's a NIB SMITH AND WESSON AR15/ M&P15.

Here she is....

That's a mean looking rifle you've got there! Nice!

Just wondering ... is this the "666" serial numbered one talked about in another thread?

No but I told he needs to highlight the number with a light colored crayon...

It might scare people more... "Devil Gun!"

Still, it is a very nice rifle...He did very well aquiring this hardware...

Now he has all the headaches and heartaches with all the accoupraments he is going to have to get...

Magazines magazines and mo magazines...

An optic package, flip up iron sights as a back up...A "sling" thing...

Thats about all I'd do to a model like this...

I also told him to keep his eyes peeled for those ammo deals...And that I'd go "Davy Crockett" with it, before I'd feed any of mine that "Wolf" ammo...But thats just my personal opinion...

He's going to have a lot of fun with that thing!!!

I've never cared much for the "Mfaux" or "M4gery" guns. Too much barrel sticking out past the handguard.

And to understand why it's "not right", you should try mounting a bayonet on it.

Since you've got all that barrel anyway, why not have the longer sight radius and full length handguard?
