Any cheap FFL transfers in the Austin area? Prefer someone that has a regular store front.
"Cheap" as in $15 or less.

I've done one transfer w/ GT. Just be prepared to wait for them to call (may take them a day or two after they take delivery) & they charge sales tax on the transfer fee. It looks like Austin charges $15 plus tax - guess that puts them over the "cheap" threshold too...y5e06 wrote:GT's.
Very professional shop that is open regular business hours and on Saturday. $10
Yes, it's on Perimeter drive (off LBJ southeast of Shiloh & NW Hwy - it's not far from Rusty Wallace Honda). It's $10 plus tax at that location and like I mentioned, you need to be patient if you see a delivery but don't hear from them for a couple days. They're very deliberate and even have a second employee/supervisor verify paperwork, ID, Item desc. & SN, etc. when you pick up.TxLobo wrote:MadMonkey wrote:Does the Dallas GT Dist location do transfers?? I'd rather deal with an established business since I won't be home for a while.
Does Dallas have a GT Distributors? I was only aware of the Austin, Tx and Rossville, Ga stores...
Can I "third" that vote? I hear that Old Cannon place is THE BESTA-R wrote:tallmike wrote:I second Old Cannon. Nice guy and easy to work with.eureka40 wrote:I use Old Cannon, wouldn't even think of using anyone else.

Better still -- he only has one employee, so there's no delay in having a second employee double check all that paperwork
