looking for a good 1911 gunsmith in Austin area
I just acquired a colt series 70 that needs a little love. I'd like to get the slide dovetailed for new sights (old ones are sheared off) and the finish redone with duracoat. Does anyone have experience with a local smith that does quality work? Thanks!

For quality 1911 work I hear there is none better than Hank Fleming, but be prepared to wait a while - he gets busy.

I've been in contact with Hank, he seems like a good guy. Patience is not a virtue of mine, so we'll see.
