My currently not-so-friendly-towards-guns wife just acknowledged that she no longer knows how many guns I own. Do I add 1 a month or is that too aggressive?

The meaning of that acknowledgement may be that she intends to go count them....

Either she does not care anymore, or would like audit your collection.
In any case do not push your luck too much

I think you're safe to add 1 gun, 2 guns, or 20 more guns..It's easier to apologize than to ask for permission.

Don't you think one wife that don't like guns is enough?

Laughed out loud when I saw this! I immediately got up and asked my wife...she said 6 (I have 7), and I laughed even harder! She fought back by saying that I had no idea how many purses and shoes she has. I didn't laugh!

You better be careful...... You'll be sneaking guns in the back door.......and your wife will be selling them to neighbors out the front door.

As long as you can fit them in the same safe you are good, now when you fill your safe and need a bigger safe you are going to get busted.
And to the person that said its easier to ask for forgiveness your are 100% right. If you ask and she says no and you do it your in big trouble, but if you just do it and the get in trouble its not anywhere near what would have happened. But I got 20 glocks (get num 21 tommorow) and to her they all look the same so she wouldnt have a clue about all of them if wasnt for the fact I have them on racks in the safe.

That's the good thing about my Mosin Nagants. They all look the same...almost. Ya I snuck one in out of the 12. The other day I bought one that was just a bit different...I almost didn't say anything but I did. She threw a fit at first but told her I had sold 2 guns and this was gun money. She wasn't so ticked off when I told her that's where the $200 I just gave you came from.
it almost costs me double to buy a gun nowadays.

There may be a large truck with a houseful of new furniture in your future!

I was cleaning my Rock River AR and my wife came home in the middle of the tear down. She said, "is that a new gun?" and I simply replied "This old thing?" and gave her a quizzical look.
Besides, it's a rifle, not a gun.

I just hope when I finally pass away after a long and fruitful life that my wife does not go sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
