Has any one had a chance to handle or shoot one yet?? Impressions???

I spent about 2 hours cruising some of the gun shops in NW Houston last Saturday, and no one could even tell me when one would be in. I asked at one store how much they sell them for, because he said he had about three folks pre-ordering. He told me he didn't even know. I was wondering...he'd decide how much to charge after three guys bought their guns? I thanked him and walked away. I can't believe three guys would agree to buy a gun without even knowing how much they would pay when it comes in. I have a few other options in the Cypress area. I even saw online a shop in Clute that was threatening to sell them for $323. If they stick to that price when they come in, I may be making a road trip.

I just saw a Cabela's newspaper-insert ad from yesterday showing it. Listed at $399 if I remember the price correctly. (Sorry, don't have the ad in front of me at the moment.)

Handled one today at Pidgeon Rd Shooting Range in Stephenville.... It felt "ok" but nothing special. Very hard plastic handle that would get uncomfortable for range use. It still had a hammer and was (as the name implies) a larger LCP for all practical purposes. Probably a fine gun, but I like the feel and looks of the Taurus 709 better, as well as the thumb safety, trigger safety and striker-fired.

I just did a transfer for one yesterday, I cannot find any to sell myself. It seems a bit large, but still concealable. I do not like the loaded chamber indicator, I do not like it on my SR9c either. I like Ruger's and have never had any problem with my Ruger's, I guess it depends on what these start selling for. Ruger is supposedly ramping down production on the LCP and ramping up on the LC9 so you should be seeing more in the near future. My price would be about $380 out the door - if I could get some, Bud's lists their price at $390 so I'm not sure how anyone would sell them for $323. I'm also not sure if it is worth the extra $100 over a Kel-Tec PF9 or not.

Yep. That's the place. I've never been there, but I used to work just down the road at the Brazosport Facts. Would love to get one at that price.

Saw a LC9 at the Pasadena gun show today. I think they wanted around $325.00 for it. It was ajcsportsshop.

I didn't like the way it felt in my hand.

Will have to wait for the new sig p290 now.

I did pick up a M&P 15-22 for $399.00. That's $150.00 to $200.00 cheaper than I've been seeing it around the Clear Lake Area.

If you did not like the LC9 I would doubt you will like the P290. After handeling the 290 at the Shot Show I cancelled my order, it is not even close to what I expected from Sig. When they actually hit the market check them both out, the Sig will be somewhere in the upper $500 range, the LC9 in the $350 range, some lower some higher. The highlight of the new smaller 9's was the Kimber, I would expect some initial issue with them until the problems get ironed out by the manufacturers. My wife will be getting one of the kimbers, I may take one as well purely due to the way they fit our hands, next in line will be the LC9, I like that handgun very much, just for the record I do not care for the LCP at all, there is no comparison between the 2 Rugers as to the way they fit our hands..... I believe that these smaller 9's will take over the 380 handgun market...

On paper the sig has a wider grip and i kind of like that idea but $200.00 more than the lc9 wow.

I think KAHR has a new one coming out as well.

Wish Walther PPK would come out in a 9.

I have a Sig p238(eventual daughter purse gun) and a Kimber Pro Carry II 9mm. Might just get me another p238.

I've seen the Solo and i for now have a hard time with the price for a pocket carry. I can get a full size STI Spartan 9mm for about the same price.

I agree that smaller 9's is going to make a run.

I picked mine up on Friday, maybe MrvMax is my FFL so it is my gun he is referencing? I went up to the hunting lease on Saturday to fill feeders and setup a corn bag as a target. The gun doesn't recoil as much as I thought. I only put 20 rounds through it. My shots were all over the place. I definitely need time at the range to figure the sights in and see how it shoots. I am going to try to head to Arms Room later today and put a lot more through it.

interesting comment about being all over the place with it.

Asthey make large caliber hand guns in smaller platforms having accuracy control might become harder to achieve therefore putting the user at greater rick of collateral damage issues.

Looking foward to a range report.

I was thinking of heading to Pasadena today. If AJC had one yesterday, I'm hoping it might still be there. I'd really like to at least get one in my hand for a few minutes. But I doubt you'd see that price for very long or at many other places. That would pretty much be the bottom of the price point and it should go fast. Thanks for the tip Rugerboy.

That is my concern as well. I have Beretta 92FS which I am very accurate with. I have a SIG P250 that I carry regularly and it too is very accurate. However the LC9 was shooting extremely low at around 25 feet. I will use the range to see where they have it zero'd in at and start to make adjustments accordingly the further out I go.

I am heading to Arms Room today for sure. A lady friend ended up spending the day with me yesterday and I never made it out.
