Looking for a pocket gun...
I am interested in getting a very small pistol (eg. Ruger LCP) but I would like something chambered in .357 sig. I am having a hard time finding anything that really fits the bill, any suggestions?

Mike, any particular reason you're set on the .357sig caliber?
Re: Looking for a pocket gun...
I like the bullet performance characteristics, and also it is the same caliber as my duty weapon.

IIRC Sig's 239 can be had in .357 sig.

A Smith & Wesson M&P340. It weighs 13.3 oz, fits unobtrusively in my front pocket, and holds 5 rounds of .357 Magnum. I carry one quite frequently.

What do you carry for a duty weapon (also where do you work?)
If it is a glock, alot of the guys at my dept carry the baby glock version of our duty weapon.

The Kahr PM40 carried in a Fist K5 pocket holster with the K5 cover option makes an outstanding discreet pocket carry package.
It's not available in .357 sig, but it delivers police duty cartridge performance in an extremely compact envelope.

Yup, glock 31 (Irving). I am throwing around the idea of the baby glock but i'm looking for something with a slimmer profile. I do like the idea of interchangeable mags though...

IIRC, the width of the baby Glock is "only" 25% greater than the Kahr. Or, the Kahr is 25% thinner, take your pick.
The Glock holds a lot more ammo in its flush magazine and a whole lot more in the big'uns.

I have a Sig 239 chambered in 357 Sig, it is a great gun, although to call it a pocket gun you will need very big pockets, the same with the so called baby glock..... Since I wear jeans after work and on the weekends maybe my idea of a pocket gun size is off.....

Hmmm... Thanks for the ideas y'all. I think I maybe i'm looking for something that they don't really make. Perhaps I should just buy a Glock 33 AND something tiny.

My off dutys are a Kahr P380 and a Glock 30sf (we carry the 21sf at work).
I think that both is your best bet.

Re: Looking for a pocket gun...
I know this is a little bit outside the box but why not find a "pocket" gun along the lines you want chambered in .40S&W. Once you have it in hand you can get a custom barrel maker to set you up with a custom barrel for the .357 Sig. With .40S&W gun and .357 Sig barrel in hand you simply swap barrels and have a .357 Sig. This will leave you with a .357sig version of what ever gun you choose, so put a few hundred rounds through it to ensure it works properly and you should be good to go.

If MWNO* and I wanted a semi-auto pocket gun, I would get a Rohrbaugh. 9mm, not .357, looks like a Seecamp or Guardian. I dunno if you are really going to find any other genuine "pocket" sized semi auto in a caliber above .380. The R9 is as close as I know of.
