Is Prodefense Closed Down Permanently?

I stopped by there yesterday during normal business hours to look for some grips. The lights were out, the doors were locked and there was a sign on the door stating that the landlord changed the locks and took ownership of all the contents. Any how, I was curious if anyone else knew any more? All of the contents was still in the store....

Wow, I was by there last week or so I guess and they had stock then. but last few times rarely do I see anyone there. Not sure of their status but interested. If strip owner has stock, there may be a sale.

Sounds like someone wasn't paying the rent.

Hopefully they won't leave. I've been there once about 2 1/2 yrs ago and they treated me just fine.

I sure hope they dont go anywhere. They are relatively close for me, and they had a good selection of left handed holsters (something you dont see a lot of elsewhere).

Me and my son bought a couple of Mossberg evil black shotguns in there once when they had a sale. Most of their stuff was way over priced and not in line with my daily fashion.

Their big sign did look good from the freeway, though.

I never had any bad experiences with them and even purchased a couple of guns through them. They do have more competition now with the Arms Room opening up a few miles down the road. It was convenient to swing by and pick up items without having to order online.

I visited on occasion but never bought anything there. I would be curious to know what happens next with their inventory and such.

Last time we were there, wife purchased pepperspray. Went there last saturday and found this out. I was hoping this is a temporary thing with them.

I shopped at ProDefense a few times, but never bought a gun from them. It's a nice store. The people seemed friendly. They just didn't carry what I was looking for. I bought a holster and a couple pair of 5.11 pants.

It will probably be sold to pay the lease.

Same thing I experienced, they actually waited on a police offer that came in after me and was standing in line behind me before waiting on me. I was in line waiting and when the officer walked up a few minutes after i was already in line the guy at the counter started to help him. Needless to say that was the last time I shopped there, and that was a few years ago. I heard that from more than one person. I can see giving the police some good treatment, but I doubt there are enough police around to sustain a place like that. Ignoring other customers in order to cater to police does nto work. When you do not provide what the customer wants you are bound to lose money and go out of business.

All firearms that were logged into their A&D book must be logged out with a 4473 and NICS check if applicable by the FFL. If they go to another FFL no 4473 and NICS is required. So, my answer is no, the landlord would not be able to take direct posession of the firearms.
