I found this on another board.....http://www.paysonroundup.com/news/2010/ ... ammo-firm/
Apparently, this ammo manufacturer had a contract with the LAPD to purchase ammo. Due to SB1070, the LAPD will no longer purchase it because it is made in Arizona (boycott). It appears they have ample inventory (at least from what I read). Their website is http://www.scottsdaleammo.com/.
I have never heard of their ammo before, but it might be worth a shot. Pricing is a little higher than Walmart, but for those looking for 380, that may not be a big deal.
They also have 9mm, .40 S&W, .45, and .223.
Dave
ETA: Scottsdale ammo is not the manufacturer, but they carry their ammo. Don't know if manufacturer sells direct.

I didn't think any law enforcement agencies would use a 380 as a duty gun?

The LAPD won't need any ammo as long as they have their batons, blackjacks and other clubs.CompVest wrote:I would like to see all the Ammo Manufacturers boycott LAPD in support of Scottsdale Ammunition!

Re: Looking for 380 Auto?
Lots of cops still use a .380 as a BUG. And pretty much any agency that allows the carry of a BUG requires qualification with it. Qualification and practice requires ammo, so there ya go.flb_78 wrote:I didn't think any law enforcement agencies would use a 380 as a duty gun?

The AZ boycott is something I don't agree with.
I think Best shot range has 380 ammo.
