Federal brand ammo for G19
Anyone use Federal brand 9mm ammo? Since ammo has gone up in the last few weeks, I saw that is was still under $10 for 50 rds. Just wanted to see if anyone had any input/info on this particular brand.
I have used Federal brand ammo for my 20ga shotgun without any problems. However, I bought the same brand (525 rd pk) for my P22 and it keeps jamming.

I use Federal a lot in .40
I'm pleased with it.
Seems to burn just as clean as Winchester to me.
Besides, it's a Glock, it should eat anything.

Same here... I have used it in 9MM .40 and .45. All with no problems. It didn't seem any dirtier than any other ammo I have used. I like it because for now it is the least expensive option at Wally World.

Federal ammo is fine, been shooting it through my G17 with no problems. Actually shot so much of it that I have now started to reload the brass from the 9 and .40.

I have only put maybe 200 rounds of Federal through my PT111, but have had no issues with it

Federal is great ammo they are the ones who make HydraShock ammo and run the Lake City Ammunition plant for the government. I've shot a ton of it in every gun I own.

I've shot probably 800-1000 rounds of 9MM and .40 S&W through three different Glocks with zero problems.

Re: Federal brand ammo for G19
I buy Federal FMJ in the maroon box from Wal Mart every chance I get. $9.47 for 9mm (20 cents per round after tax) and $13.97 for .40 (30 cents per round after taxes) can't be beat anywhere that I've found. And it shoots well too. The .40 especially seems loaded similarly to self-defense rounds (not underliaded like some FMJ can be) and offers similar recoil (great for training).

Thanks everyone for all the replies. Looks like I need to go back to Wally World and stock up!

My Kid's XD-9 Compact eats it fine as well as my Glock 27 in .40. I am in the process of getting a Glock 19 for exactly this...1/3rd the cost for ammo. (No failure to fire issues like the Winchester white box stuff either)
My math might be a little shaky....Spending $550 to save $4.00+ a box I think I learned this from the women folks
