AMMO FOUND!!!

To my fellow gunowners. I will begin this post to post what ammunition I found and where I found it to help save you guys some time in driving around or searching online.
I just recent purchased 2000 PMC Bronze .223 for rougly 8.49 a box. You save 25 dollars a case if you buy 1000 round at a time. If you buy it singles, you pay only 50 cents more. I bought it at budsgunshop.com. I thought this might help someone who is looking for .223/5.56 Nato rounds.
As for 40 caliber/9mm ammunition, go to ammunitiontogo.com. Bad part is they are located in TX so we have to pay taxes.
Regarding ammunition at Walmart, they have the cheapest brass ammo. 9mm for 8.26 and 40 ranging from 12.06 to 12.47 /50 round box. Found some a few days ago around Walmarts in Houston and Sugar Land and Richmond. I bought what I can. Got 500 rounds of 40 and only 100 rounds of 9mm. Bad thing is...I think some workers at certain Walmarts lie about inventory of these ammunition to hold it for their friends to buy and sell outside walmart because at one walmart I saw two sealed boxes of Blazer Brass hidden underneath one of their racks behind the counter and they told me they had none. I informed them that aren't those it, and the sales person seem to try to block my view from it and told me that's not it. I wasn't going to bother getting the manager because I understand the wage Walmart pays its employees.

I'm not sure you understand the wage WalMart pays its employees. The employees at WalMart are making a decent wage. Do not make the mistake of drinking the Kool-Aid put out by the liberal media. The Democrats attack WalMart on behalf of the Unions who haven't been able to get a foothold there.

You are correct PBR. I don't think the people who works the floor or stocking is making a descent wage. Because of his comment about walmart employees make a descent wage, I've asked one of them and they told me that they wish. The person I talked to said "a dime over minimum wage is descent then 8 dollars an hour, I think I'm up there with the rich folks."

The High Caliber Gun Show in Houston this past weekend had plenty of ammo ALL at ridiculous prices. Ammo to go had tables set up there and they wanted $250 for a 1000rd case of steel cased 9mm and well over $300 for anything brass. That is really high priced for buying bulk. I also saw someone selling WWB in the value packs for 49.95 each. I about fell out. I made the mistake to ask him what a 1000rd case would cost, he laughed and said $400. I laughed equally hard and walked away.

Do any of you folks know any real numbers about wally world pay scales, or are you just speculating based on what you think they should get paid?
My now ex-wife worked for wally world 15 years ago and made 8.50 an hour to start. She was no manager either. I think they make more than some of you realize.

According to the prices that RECIT quoted, it'll get you 17 rounds. Three hours and you'll have a box!

It might be worth it to work there just long enough to buy up all the ammo before it get's bought up by the customers. I figure I would only have to work there about a week to stock up enough ammo for the next 5 years.

I don't think the discount applies to ammo to be honest. I just had a friend that took a part time job for Wal-mart. He worked the electronics department, they did not offer any discount on ammo, tires, or prescriptions. I tried to get him to buy me a few cases of 9mm, but they would not let him buy it in bulk or discounted. Maybe just the dept manager or something but that was my experience. He was making $8.50 an hour and he has a 5 year military background and is currently is nursing school. So he is not just a snot nosed teenager with no qualifications or leadership skills.

With an insider on your team, you should be on top of any arriving shipments. That would be good enough for me. Even at full price the WWB at wally world is the lowest price for it anywhere I have found. UUURRRRGGGHHHH....I wish I had bought more on the occasions I happened into wally world when they were in stock
.

Today at Wally World, I bought 500 rounds of WWB .40 @ $12.27/box of 50. The 100 round box was also available for a little over $27. Doesn't seem to make much sense. Also had some .32 ACP and two boxes of .357 sig. Nothing else.
