I really like my local gun shop

I bought my glock at B & S guns a few months ago.
More recently I checked out 4 other gun stores in Dallas and I also attended the Gun Show at Big Town last weekend. At the other gun stores I was met with kids who knew nothing, old farts who weren't friendly or helpful - or at the gun show I was met by people who were weird.
B&S is a great gun store. Of course practice ammo is cheaper at Wal-Mart - but WM also doesn't carry anything else.

B&S staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and they have tons of guns and accessories.

Just a plug for my favorite gun shop. I don't work there - but I will continue to buy there.

do they have a Range and if not what is your favorite range around town? I live in the Garland / Mesquite area

I've been there many times and will continue to go when I am in that part of town. It figures that one of the better stores is so far away for me! Always helped by knowledgeable and friendly staff. I have found that they also have some of the most competitive prices in town. I usually end up at Bachman Guns in Dallas for no other reason than good prices and one person that is helpful. The rest of the Bachman staff is very difficult to deal with. B&S
