Police say Moore is not suspected of wrongdoing.
Clearly he did something "wrong", or the range owner wouldn't have a .22 bullet in his belly.
I'm just guessing, but I'd say this fellow is probably banned from going back to that range... and most likely is off the range owners Christmas card list.

I don't know how big the range owner is, but it is times like this one can be greatful for a few extra pounds around the gut.

Hi All,
FWIW,
I know that range well---they were my main competition when I had a gun shop in the same town.
The previous owner, Mark Baradat sold it to Byrd a year or so ago.
It is located 18 miles north of San Francisco in a town of around 65,000 that are predominately anti gun.
Mark got very disheartened as there were 3 or 4 suicides there when he owned it.
Overall, it's a very nice indoor setup with about 10 lanes, also used as the local LEO range.

After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring.
He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him.

I'd just start asking for a deposit on rental guns... that way when they do off themselves you can withhold the deposit until they return the firearm.jason wrote:Apparently suicides are common at gun ranges in California.

I say make a device where they can't bend their wrist or elbow and strap it on their wrists and arms that way they can't point the gun at anything but their foot
As for owner i would wear body armor, maybe make people take a written firearms safety test prior to renting a gun

It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them

after seeing some of the "geniuses" that have rented guns at my local range, i'm all for it... i've been shooting at times only to glance down the firing line and see someone one hand it and aim down the side... was unaware you could actually buy these...
