Update on my Kimber Super Carry Pro.

Kimber refunded the purchase price of my pistol but not the FFL transfer fee or any of the cost of the 600 rounds of factory ammo that I burned trying to break in the pistol. One of the guys that I shoot 3 gun with bought the same pistol new 2 years ago. Some of the same problems. It went back to Kimber but still did not work right when he got it back. It has been sitting in his gun safe since that time and he is very frustrated with the situation. I know that I could have taken it to a good gunsmith and, most likely, had most of the issues fixed. However, I am not sure how he would have fixed the loose slide to frame fit or the fact that the finish was coming off of the slide (without refinishing at additional expense).

I was able to find a new Springfield TRP and it is a much better pistol (I am very happy with it). It is not as small or as light but it is still easy to carry. And, I still have my M&P 45s. I like them very much and they are extremely reliable.

I know there are a lot of happy Kimber owners out there and I am happy that they have good pistols. My experience was not as good.

FWIW, I used the one Kim Pro magazine that came with the pistol and 10 different Tripp Cobra magazines in the pistol. The magazines were not the cause of the problems.
