It's been almost a month for me, but now that our range is back up, I'll be out there three times a week for the foreseeable future trying to get back up to speed.

Dude, if you lack time or money because ammo is expensive, then just practice with a bb gun in the back yard. Some practice is better than no practice. You can also dry fire. Dry fire is good for trigger control. Bb guns are good for aiming. The only thing you cannot duplicate without real ammo is recoil control. Just get a gun with very little recoil and you'll do fine. A 9mm Glock is probably the best gun for those who rarely ever practice with live ammo.

At least a couple of months here. Planning a trip this weekend, though. I have been having a difficult time finding 45 ACP target rounds (at a decent price).

I know of 24 women that were at the range this morning practicing! We did some basic warm up drills and then a stump shoot for fun. They were having so much fun that I couldn't resist helping on the last stick. What a blast!

My son and I brought one of his coworkers and her husband to DPC today. Neither had ever shot a gun before, and she was a confirmed "anti" until she started talking to my son. We started with the .22 pistols, and by the end of the day, she was shooting my Model 29 and giggling her head off. Now she wants to buy a Glock 19.

Then later, back at our house, while talking to me and my wife, the other gal says she thinks that rifles might be really fun, and wants to try that the next time! I think we did pretty good.

Wife and I spent a couple of hours at the range yesterday sending 22... 380 (not much)... 9mm downrange.

We get to go a couple of times a month. Between range visits... it's dry practice.. dry practice.. dry practice.
