With the failure of the new attempted gun control bills. The biggest bump in price will be in people's head. But November is coming. I try not to panic buy, because I buy year around.

Sometimes it isn't hoarding; it's just "I couldn't help myself."

So, Andy, remember that I was buying a couple of lowers with no planned build in the near future? Yeah; sure. Like I really thought I could just tuck away a lonely lower on a shelf in the safe and leave it alone.

Should have all the parts and the new AR built in two or three weeks. Maybe I can squeeze it into the safe without having to buy a second one. If not, my desire to have an extra lower or two is going to become a very expensive choice: new PMags, new lower, new upper, new barrel, new fore-end, new BUIS, new red-dot...and new safe. :???:

Reports Of Gun Sales Surging Confirmed

It looks like Fox News is confirming that gun sales have increased dramatically. Reporter Nick Giampia interviewed gun store owner Jay Wallace about the recent surge where Wallace made the claim that they are selling more than 15 rifles per hour. Wallace was also quoted as saying sales have “really kicked up”.

Fox also reports in a separate article that sales among the LGBT community is also on the rise. Given the recent blow to the LGBT community I am really glad to see more people becoming interested in firearms. Fox also spoke with a national gun club with strong roots in the LGBT community, The Pink Pistols, who saw its membership more than double in one day.

Doesn't fit on the meme Topic Keith recently created, but I simply can't let twomillenium's great line go to waste...

No self-discipline, huh? Well, I'm in a similar boat - picked up 2 lowers yesterday and I'm already pondering making a thumper
I've been fresh out of discipline for a while lol, just ordered two new lowers! jUst waiting on them to get to my FFL. I really have no need for two new guns, but I'm not going to be build-less in case HRC pulls some bull

I stopped by Cabella's in League City this morning. Ammo shelves were overflowing. So in terms of ammo, the panic hasn't started yet.

The time table on my originally scheduled priority purchases had previously been moved up, perhaps on some lower priority or target of opportunity items as well. We'll see how the market conditions play out now. I have gotten caught by the panic before trying not to cause a panic. :mad5 What I learned is you snooze you loose. I'm not buying anything I haven't planned on or wasn't on my wishlist anyway. I'm not "investment" buying. So whether anybody agrees or disagrees, I've the adopted the "I'm gonna get mine" attitude.

Words to live BUY:

I am currently fully "stocked", but I am always looking for an excuse to pad the inventory.-karder

I'm getting a little twitchy, so I'm not ignoring it.-AndyC

I predicted that a major incident was going to occur before the election and this was going to happen. I told my wife this several months ago and when it finally happened she asked, "Did you get all the things you wanted to?" So at least I don't have to try and hide my spending when I get the bill. :rules: Fortunately I've been ahead of the curve on this one. Significant items have been checked off my list very recently (guns, ammo, mags, optics), only a few more UPS delivery's in route to complete my pre-panic/panic buy round 1 of 2016. I got mine this time! (I haven't noticed significant price and availability issues yet, but did notice things that dropped to "sale" prices jumped back up to normal pricing) :coolgleamA:

Hopefully the things that moved up on my priority list won't be as affected as other things.
Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.

Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

WOw! I already received my mag loader today. Only two days is all it took. Good work from Academy. It seems to work fine with my single stack mag. This will really make things easier and faster when i go shoot again. :smash:

Picked up a couple of items today from my friends in Pearland (south Houston) at Primary Arms (http://www.primaryarms.com/). Magpul front and rear flip-up MBUS and an AXTS Raptor charging handle, all on sale at great prices BTW.

Informed sources say that Primary Arms will stock, in two to three weeks, SOTA Arms (https://sotaarms.com/) billet machined stripped lowers--with a USA flag emblazon--in the $90 range. I repeat: billet machined stripped lowers for $90/$100.

I have no experience with SOTA Arms, but what's the deal with complete/component AR manufacturers coming out of Minnesota recently? Add Alex Pro Firearms (http://www.apfarmory.com/) to the mix.

Minnesota is darned cold, dangerously cold, in the winter.

Come to Texas.

I ordered 1,000 rounds of 5.56 from Freedom Munitions. Don't need it. Probably won't shoot it in the next five years. But I'll have it...stacked on top of my other ammo cans.
