Michael,

Do you mean to say somebody really makes silver bullets that can be used in a pistol?!? That would be worth having as you say just for the joke factor. Any idea who makes them and in what calibers?

I can see it now:

Q: "Who was that masked man on the pistol range?"
A: "I don't know but he gave me this silver bullet to clean up his brass." :anamatedbanana

Man... I pride myself on being minimally affected by advertising, but this time I'll happily admit that they got me "rlol"

I'm going to get some .223, 12 gauge and 9mm I think.

They appear to be out of stock in all calibers until 11/1/11.......one day after the zombies are most likely to attack!

Not exactly scientific, but...

Of course the joke/coolness factor might be worth something to some people. A reloader who can also do casting in Silver might be able to make a few bucks on the side selling silver bullets online and in local gun shops.

Even when I was a kid, I always assumed that the Lone Ranger's silver bullets were used more as a sort of calling card rather than as ammunition, and that his regular ammo was lead.

So is the actual ammo any different than the Critical Defense line?

I think the rifle ammo is just yellow A-Max and the pistol ammo is just yellow Critical Defense.

Thats what it looks like to me. Couldnt find much on their site. To be honest I'll buy a couple boxes to show friends as a joke. Yes I"ll load my guns with it. I already have critical defense in my pistol so why not.

If was priced reasonalbe then sure, I waste alot more money on pointless stuff. But you said the guy is going to give me silver bullets and his brass, win win for me, can you just ask him to please shoot 10mm 45GAP 357sig? I need brass for those the most.

Don't think the hornady ammo was being offered in 380, at least not the few website I saw it listed on it was not an option.
