Another Taser Death Raises Eyebrows To New Levels

The posturing begins in that Louisiana case where a guy was zapped nine times. The coroner has ruled the death a homicide.

The LEO who tased the victim "wrote in his police report that Pikes did not resist arrest, as previously stated. The suspect was handcuffed on the ground and was not Tasered until he refused a command by the police officer to stand."

So here is an example of a taser admittedly used to effect compliance with an order to stand up. This is hardly an offense justifying use of a taser. In addition to six additional jolts, the cop then tased the victim twice while he was unconscious. Also it appears there was some "wishful thinking" on the part of the accused early on which is in the record. This trial may not go well for the defense.

If this went the way it was described in the post above, I'd hate to try and explain this one. If the person was a threat, that would be one thing, but it doesnt sound like it above.
