I am from the Texas Coast, currently a student in college going for a degree in ocean and coastal resourses. I am a girl and prefure to go by Swan, but I'll answer to anything that relates to my user name. My Dad is also on this forum, although I don't know his user name yet. Erm.... anything else? Oh yea, I'm not a good speller, and I don't see a spell check, so I'ma say I'm sorry in advance.
Anyway, if you got questions.... ask.

Hi,

I've had my chl for 9 years now and in my mid 30's. My wife has her packet in right now at dps, so my interest in concealed carry has been heightened. Its been a great opportunity for me to re-read all the information out there and get up to date so to speak. I have even found a couple of mistakes I have made after reading this site and have corrected my thinking and behavior, while encouraging my wife that she to will also have to change her mindset and become more aware of things when she carries. Anyways thanks for all the information, keep up the good work.

Welcome to the forum, Swan. I don't suppose you attend TAMUG?

If you use Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox, they have a built-in spelling checker that automatically checks everything you type. It's very handy.

It sure is. Y'all don't even want to try to decipher my spelling if I didn't use it.

Welcome !!!
As Far as I know, all versions of Windows which have 64 bit Internet Exploder, also have the 32 bit Internet Exploder.
I use Firefox though, and the spill chuckler underlines any mispeellled wurds and I just right click and chooze the correkt one. (look at all those red underlined words !!!!)

Hello, Discovered this site while looking for CHL information. It's nice to know there are lots of "like minded" individuals out there. I finally joined yesterday and thought I should introduce myself.

Age: 60 (next month)
Gender: Male
Profession: My job went to China, so the company retired me!
Marital Status: Married to my H.S. sweetheart!
Years CHL: about 1 month
Weapon: Colt Combat Elite .45, Springfield TM .45, Taurus 1911 .45, Norinco .45

Prior to retiring with 30 plus years from the Chemical Industry, I spent 9 years in the USN. The reason I got my CHL is that I feel I have a responsibility to protect my wife and self to the best of my ability.

I want to say hi to everyone, and glad I found this site

Age: 28
Gender: Male
Profession: Asset Protection - Nuclear
Marital Status: Married, and a future father to be (Feb.)
Years CHL: 1 month
Weapon: SW 99, Ruger Security Six .357

Prior to joining the nuclear industry, I worked as an intel analyst.

I acquired my CHL because I feel it's my right (as a responsible lawful member of society) to carry and protect my family. I've carried in my vehicle for some time and want to be legal to carry elsewhere as well.

I certainly appreciate the information on this website. It was very helpful while processing through the CHL process and in my current search for a reasonable IWB for my SW99.

Thanks again.
