Re: Introduce yourself
Hello everyone--don't know why I've waited this long to join the forum--been hanging around for a couple years and am indeed grateful for the wealth of information available on this website.
Age--62
Male
Retired Institutional Parole Officer, TDCJ
Can attest that the best loving, best cooking, most beautiful, and all-around finest women in the world are in the Great State of Texas, because for the last 41 years I have been married to every ONE of them (did I do that right)? She is CHL and carries daily, anyway.
2 adult children, 3 grandkids.
CHL 2004, 1 renewal
I carry a Beretta 96 INOX with guiderod Lasermax IWB, thanks to Longtooth's tutorial regarding quality gunbelt and holster and his pictures of the banded bottom pullovers and suspenders. I have found that I really can carry a big ol' gun (translates to confidence in my equipment accuracy wise) if I'm willing to pay the price of dressing to the weapon and getting comfortable with the weight.

Yep, Junior Samples and his car lot. IIRC, he may have been accompanied by a comely companion. I don't know why, but that line has hung with me all this time.joe817 wrote:My Lord davidtx! Thanks, guys--
Yessir, old Junior and his car lot were quite the business model, weren't they?
I'll jump in from time to time, but mostly I'll continue to learn from the more seasoned forum members.

Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome aboard to all you new guys.
Thank you for your grace BR549. We are glad to have you &, yes, I am not only a proponent of conceal carry but also of "carry enough gun." Glad to be of help.
I do want to encourage all you new to carry & new to firearms folks to feel free to join in.
Dont feel like you have to have THE answer to someone's ? to post anything.
Dont feel like you need to be a top competator or a professional gunsmith to post anything.
Share your experiences, share what new thing you have learned reciently. I promice, all us old hands will jump up & down shouttin & there will be other new folks around lurking like you did. You may teach them something & never know it.
(Just like I never knew about you & suspenders)
Everyone has something to contribute.
Glad to have you new guys.
