SA had a 10/25/2013 recall update posted about 3:00pm today which linked to a YouTube video. Now SA has deleted today's update and the video. As to the video:
Nothing new... pure marketing fluff without any numbers... more to follow on Nov 1st. More to follow if and when they repost today's update.

Can you elaborate on how it is different from pre "upgrade"?

At first it is like it is dragging on sandpaper, then it gets smooth then it stops and you have to add more pressure to make it break. I'm not up on all the terminology of trigger pulls but that's how it feels to me.

Again this is not what I'd hoped to hear. I'm not at all interested in a trigger like that. May send mine in and then try trading it for a g26 or g27 or a PPS.

Maybe it just needs to have 100 rounds fired through it to break the trigger in.

Maybe so.
Sookandy, how come you aren't out shooting?

That is what I heard from another guy, maybe just needs some breaking in. I had to get my boy after the truck showed up. I need to get to the range bad. Need to test this puppy out, a GP 100, a xd45, a new AR and a Tokarev I just got. Too many guns and not enought time. Got more I haven't even had a chance to shoot. Those are just at the front of the list.

You can smooth the trigger without going to the range.

Dry firing does the same thing at much lower cost.

Using a spray cleaner / degreaser to remove lube on the fire control parts before working the action speeds the process a little.

Relubricate before firing live ammo.

I had held off on sending mine in until now because I wanted to see what the fix would be and how long they would be likely to keep my gun. I spoke to Springfield yesterday right at closing time, and printed the shipping labels. I'll be sending mine back to them on Monday.

Please share what they said about how long they expect to keep your gun.

I didn't talk to them about timeline or the fix. I talked to them about printing new shipping labels. The ones I have previously printed had expired. I'm going by what others say about the timeline, and I'm comfortable with it taking 6-8 weeks.......which seems to be the going rate.
