I know the delivery dates for all the Academy stores between home and work.

The last Ammo I bought at a WalMart was Tul Ammo in 380ACP.... Worst Ammo ever.
My P238 wouldn't even strike it.

Was completely shocked yesterday morning at WalMart - Park and Tollway in Plano! There were four, 50 rd boxes of PPU, 9mm, 115 gr, FMJ at $14.57/box! Bought two of them - just like the old days! It's a sad day when I can get excited about buying somewhat cheap Serbian ammo! It was also a happy day that I didn't have to part with any still needed organ to afford two boxes of cheap Serbian ammo!

Just got back from Freedom Munitions in NW Houston. Lots of ammo in stock in all flavors but kind of pricey. Example. These prices are for remanufactured ammo. 9mm $17.99, .40 $19.39, 45acp $25.29, .223 $34.79/50 rds, .556 $43.39/50. You can buy all you want.

Here's another interesting one. Bought a box of 20 rd PMC Starfire HP 124 gr, paid $9.00 ( this was quite some time back).Cheaper Than Dirt now has the same ammo for the low price of just $89.19. I bet that sits on the shelf for a while.

Wal mart is actually getting ammo in on a fairly regular basis. They don't know when in advance but usually 2 or 3 times a week. Most stores stock at 7am. I got lucky when a big shipment in about a month ago and got 2 250 rd boxes of UMC brass 9mm and a box of 555 .22 lr. Since then I've gotten my limit of 3 boxes of 9mm, 40 s&w, 7.62x39 and .223 on various occasions, almost always at 7am or just before.

The other day some 7.62x39 actually sat on the shelf for one day day and night. Usually you have to go early and often but it can pay off.

Academy in Tomball had .45 Auto FMJ 100pk Winchester for ~$36. also had some decent 9mm.
Academy in Katy(99/10) had .45 Auto FMJ (think it was Federal) for ~$19.
i just ordered an XDS so I had to locate some .45 ammo as I drove around today. haha.

Bass Pro in Pearland had basically nothing aside from rifle rounds.

I've had pretty good luck here in Arlington dropping by Academy once a week and buying Monarch 9mm 115 gr FMJ. 1 box limit. It is my favorite range ammo. Shot 100 yesterday in my Nano. No problems.

That ammo order I placed at Mountain Ridge Armament back on 2/2/2013... the one they immediately snapped up $500 for? Still backordered. Now their next estimate is 6/1/2013.

Live and learn. I will NEVER do business with these folks again, and I encourage everyone else to stay clear. It was "in stock" when I placed the order, and now it's a minimum of 4 months to get my order? These folks are nothing but crooks. I'm about as fed up as I can get.
