The fact is, imposing gun restrictions that are not required on each other is saying that "common sense" gun laws should be implemented. There is absolutely ZERO risk in selling a firearm. Some of you who believe we should have stricter gun control are actually thinking backwards. The only person at risk is the person buying the weapon. If it is reported stolen, the new owner loses the gun if caught by the police with it. If anyone should be asking for proof of outstanding citizenship, it should be the buyer. The idea that you are doing society a service or protecting yourself from the law asking a buyer to comply with gun laws that don't exist is laughable on a forum dedicated to the RKBA. They don't know you from adam, why should they trust you with any of their personal information? Maybe you are the bad guy.
Meanwhile, I am making mental notes of gun control advocates for when the next thread in opposition to gun control is started. I feel sure I won't be seeing any posts complaining of "common sense" gun laws.
