I ordered my XDs from http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in November. $509 for black, $559 for bi-tone. (Plus $20 for my FFL to do the transfer, but no credit card or shipping fees from the website.) They're currently sold out, but you might want to monitor it for a bit if you don't need to scratch that itch immediately.

Thanks!!! I'll keep an eye out. Those are good prices.

I'm pretty happy with my xds. I still prefer the size of my p938 but like having a 45. Still not carrying so I have time to decide. Going to shoot a friends sig 1911 rcs tomorrow. Looking forward to it!

Will be interesting to see what their price is when they get more in stock. The cheapest in stock price I've seen is Wiley's @$579.

A lot of things were much cheaper in November than they are now.

For those of you with the XDs, what holster do you like? I've been looking at the Crossbreed minituck and the Comp-Tac. I am leaning towards the Mini with horsehide.

I have a horsehide one from Tommy Theis. (Actually three, if you include the two for other guns of mine.) Tommy's craftsmanship is top tier, his holsters are comfortable and durable, and he's a pleasure with whom to deal. Wearing it and my XDs right now.

Much as I like the XDs, I find the holster and mag pouch that come with it to be junk. The holster doesn't retain well but could be usable for the range or light duty. The dual mag pouch, however, is so tight that I honestly think if I put it on my belt and forced magazines into and out of it a few times, I'd probably break the belt loops.

Anybody else with a similar experience?

I like the magazine holder just fine, but never used the holster since I'm IWB all the way.

I hear Springfield is the best major manufacturer at meeting demand right now. Seems like I can generally pull up two or three per week online around the $600 price point.
