I won't be able to show you until open carry gets passed into law. Until then I have to keep it concealed.

I'm may be in the minority, but I have zero desire to open carry.

Same, no desire to intentionally OC...BUT it does open the door for me to use OWB holsters and not be as worried about printing or showing unintentionally.Abraham wrote:I'm may be in the minority, but I have zero desire to open carry.

I don't think you're in the minority. This is the Texas Concealed Handgun License forum, after all.Abraham wrote:I'm may be in the minority, but I have zero desire to open carry.

That being said, I'm looking forward to the option of open carrying.
Might even open carry in rural Nebraska when I go there next month just as a warm up.
Keep calm and carry.

Yes but remember a concealed handgun license is what will allow one to open carry.mr1337 wrote:

Sorry to the OP, no pics at the moment but picture your standard 4" kimber or G19 in a serpa. I might look into that nifty safariland retention holster a member posted recently.

I have open carried in Arizona on a couple of occasions when we are there for the winter. It felt a bit weird since I have never done it before. I guess i could get used to it, but really prefer to carry concealed.

Yesterday, I saw a pickup with a gigantic American flag anchored on a 5' or so pole in the bed of his truck. Talk about an attention getter as he whipped along at 60 M.P.H. with his huge flag flapping for all it was worth!
I'm not convinced the guy is a patriot, so much as I think he needs to be noticed.
Me, I DON'T want to be noticed and that's part of the reason I won't O.C.
No, I don't think all who desire to O.C. are attention needy, but I think some are.
I would be embarrassed to be thought of in that way...

Just because . . .
Re: Pictures of your daily (OPEN) carry
I actually have a pistol that I like to carry in a OWB holster that is the same color scheme as the OP's gun. Only difference is it's a Springfield XDM 9 in a black holster. It came with a magazine holder but I'm not sure I like the plastic ones. I don't usually carry spare magazines so no hurry on getting a leather one. I also carry a 1911 in a OWB holster. All of my handguns can be carried concealed or open. What handgun can't? Don't plan on doing much open carry but will be less concerned about my shirt blowing up or coming up when reaching for something on the top shelf. Would definitely open carry when out in the country like when camping or hunting. Would like to open carry my Vaquero with stag grips because it's so pretty. That would be wanting my gun noticed not me.

If I OC, it will be with my Glock 19 Gen4 with a (highly recommended) Safariland GLS holster.
