I work at Texas Highway Markings. We stripe all the major Freeways and roads in the state of Texas. I am currently trying to move into Law Enforcement.
I just wanted to thank everyone for praying for me when I was sick, and for my job!

Age: 30-ish (I refuse to use the "other" similar descriptor)
Gender: M
Profession/school status: Higher Ed / terminal M.S. (probably about to start working on another)
Marital status: Yes, dear.
Years CHL: 0*
Texas State Representative / House District: Delwin Jones / District 83
Carry guns/equipment: Don't carry.
* Sure, I'll probably alienate myself from the second day here, but..... I'm not a CHL, largely because I don't believe in them, for me, personally . That said, I love you guys/gals and am a perpetual advocate (which reminds me, I'm out and need to buy some more of those TSRA "CHL business cards"). My wife is thinking about getting her CHL, and I won't discourage her in the least. We are in the market for a carry gun for her (she likes the hammerless J-frames).

We will still welcome you & say again
Carry & when to carry is the decision of the individual.
We will still respect your point of view & you will ot be flamed, yelled at, or made fun of on this board.

As you can see, I'm not quite old enough to carry yet, but plan on starting as soon as possible... I've grown up out in the country, and have been around guns since I was old enough to walk. I've shot thousands of rounds, and carry a gun on our family ranch all the time. Looking forward to having a CHL should I ever need it, and figured I might as well hang out here and learn as much as possible before I turn 21!

I can't carry at work due to a blanket/network of at least two state laws, so I couldn't carry 24/7 anyway. Which, by definition, would make me a guesser.
