He has his right leg cocked out and the inner thigh exposed. That round or shrapnel from its contact with the ground could easily have penetrated his leg and severed his femoral artery. He is very lucky.

Am I the only one that percieves the speed of the bullet at about the speed of a fastball thrown by a decent minor league player.

Remember, that is a ricochet... you can hear the whine as it tumbles through the air, much more slowly than it went down range.

And for the record, I don't volunteer to have a minor league pitcher chunk 750 grains of bronze at my head at 90+mph.

Um, it ricochets up? What goes up must come down.

In an unrelated note, every time I see your username, I think of this:

You can hear the bullet strike a piece of metal in the distance which indicates they were probably shooting a steel gong or other target. Bullets striking steel have been known to rebound and bounce back on an arc along their original trajectory to the point of origin. This is part of the reason USPSA and IDPA specifically require steel targets be set at certain minimum distances from the shooter but even that is no guarantee.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

And, you can hear them say, "No more iron", meaning "no more steel targets!"
