Santa Monica College Shooting

Fox news says four dead and one gravely wounded and not expected to survive. Apparently he had 1300 rounds of .44 and .223 combined and was shooting through the walls of a safe room with 14 people inside when he was thankfully snuffed.

Since little information seems to be available on the various news agencies, I took a bit of time to examine the photos of the weapons as displayed by the Santa Monica police to see what I could identify. The revolver appears to be: percussion cap black powder .44. I have one just like it I inherited from my father which is a Navy Arms reproduction. Not much chance of a fast reload with that one . The bright blue AR magazines appear to be the same as those marketed under the 'store label' by an online seller, which I won't mention in case I have the identity incorrect. They clearly are of the 30 round type, not for sale to CA. Any AR folks out there who can ID the upper receiver (which seems to be missing its bolt group)?

It's beginning to sound like the agenda on this one might be limiting how much ammo you can have ---egads....he had 1300 rounds, no one needs that much ammo.... and if you're right about the handgun, registration for black powder weapons.

Some AR style magazines have been sold which are the typical 30 round size but permanently modified to take only 10 rounds.

Of course, a guy who is bent on something like this doesn't give a flip about the silly magazine capacity laws, does he? In LA you can buy all sorts of stuff that is illegal but sold anyway, identities, credit cards, drugs, real estate, securities, cars, etc.
