That would be interesting. My BIL has a droid. I have an iPhone and the Walmart app and I don't know how to get alerts. I can check each product's availability, but alerts? IDK

:iagree: I haven't seen any function on the app that alerts you to any product availability.

I thought you wanted to see pictures of ugly people on your phone.

Seriously, ammo alerts would be cool.

I have the Walmart App on my iPhone 4 but the only ammo that I can find is rifle ammo for hunting deer. Anybody else able to locate 9mm pistol ammo using this app?

Search "ammo". In the San Antonio area it shows.

When I search "ammo" (I'm in the Arlington area) it comes up with ammon shea, ammonia, and ammonite press. Must be different in other areas.

Wow. What about "ammunition". When I search "ammo" I get Federal (all calibers), Winchester, and so much more.

When I search "ammunition" I get one listing, "ammunition deer". When I look there I do see a lot of rifle rounds. I would think this would be for Walmarts all over the DFW area since I am in the middle of that area.

When I first loaded the app it ask for permission to use my location and I said yes. Did yours do that? I wonder what radius in miles around me does it search.

I search the site for "ammunition" and then search through everything and add what I'm looking for to my list. Then I can check each item's availability. When I do that it will tell me whether or not the stores around me (Within about 15 miles depending on the density of WalMarts in the area.) and whether it is out of stock, limited stock, or in stock and which store. I can check other areas by putting in a different city or zip code.

I keep all these things in my list and when I go into a WalMart it will update the prices for that store and their location in the store. The list is really designed to be used like a grocery list where one would check off the items as they put them in the basket. It just helps from having to search for them every time I want to check their availability.

Its just something I got in the habit of while reading my paper in the morning...I've hit the jackpot several times so its a very useful app.

I have also and there are some new things that I've found that were not in my list because I didn't update my list after a new search. I found several boxes of .45ACP Brass Max a couple days ago. I had never heard of it and it looked okay, so I got some and will try it out. It was just under $16/50 rounds.

I've also started seeing a bunch of the TulAmmo, with steel cases in several different calibers including .223 for you AK folks.

OK, I finally tracked down 9mm ammo at Walmart on the app. Here is how to do it: Shop by Department, Sports Fitness and Outdoors, Hunting, Guns Rifles and Ammunition. I scrolled way down and found a total of 4 9mm items to add to the list. From the list I was able to determine the price and availability from about 8 stores in the area. Unfortunately I'm not particularly fond of Federal and Winchester. At least I know how it works. I think I'll search for some more similar apps.
