Its not going to happen!
Tell that to the poeple in CA and NYC who have had their registered guns confiscated.
The folks that gave them up deserved to lose them. Then again you are talking about NYC and California. These places have nothing to do with how the real America thinks. In the last 15 years we have made gains not loses. There was a time that here in Texas we weren't even allowed to carry a handgun on our person.. This isn't he 60's or the 1980's we have the momentum on our side.

So far the only legislative action Ive seen as a reaction to the shootings is this as explained by Glenn Reynolds:
TENNESSEE MOVES TO ALLOW GUNS IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS: "In a surprise move, a House panel voted today to repeal a state law that forbids the carrying of handguns on property and buildings owned by state, county and city governments — including parks and playgrounds. 'I think the recent Virginia disaster — or catastrophe or nightmare or whatever you want to call it — has woken up a lot of people to the need for having guns available to law-abiding citizens,' said Rep. Frank Niceley, R-Strawberry Plains."
The NRA would like us to believe the sky is gonna fall. The Liberal press will call for gun control, but its just not going to happen. We will continue to make progress in Texas. We will continue to see stupid assault weapon bans presented and allowed to die in Congress. No one is going to come to our doors and take our guns away. Next sept. We in Texas will have more gun rights not Fewer. Just as it has been for the last 12 years.

It is a true tragedy in Virginia, and the politicians are loading up on their rhetoric with the sole intention of scaring the stuffs out of us.

I agree with liberty on this. The NRA tends to blow up the threat to unacceptable levels due to the large amounts of money they make from doing so. Both sides of the argument suffer from poor figureheads and biased statistics and viewpoints, each as speculative as the other.

The cooler heads tend to prevail. That needs to be us, responsible, safe citizens who would prefer sending bullets into paper targets down range instead of into someone else.

"Only the Police need high capacity magazines" Okay, then we limit the criminals's to 10 round magazines - they'll just carry more mags.
I can't help but notice NONE of the media outlets are pointing out that the "Glock 19" used in the school shooting Monday only had the lower capacity 10 round magazines.

How do you know that? Since 15 round mags are legal in VA, I would expect G-19s sold there to ship with the full capacity mags. The 10 round version are for states with restrictive limits.

Sorry my mistake. I feel like an idiot. For some reason I had the misconception that the Glock 19 only had 10 round mags as it was a "compact" modem. I was confusing it with the Glock 26 "Sub compact".

Against my mistake.
