Because a gun, knife, OC, flashlight, and cell phone are all elements for effective self-defense. The cell phone for calling the cops if ever faced with a situation where you need to use the other items.

And if for what ever reason you run out of Ammo(However unlikly it may seem), OC spray, Knives, and drop your flashlight then you atleast have another weapon to throw at the bad guy.(After you dial 911 of course.)

There's my set-up, folks. No peanut gallery commentary unless it's nice, please. I realize this isn't a
fancy set-up but it's comfortable, quality, and it all fits into my college budget.

I have two (yes, count'em TWO) Uncle Mike's holsters.
I think they are absolutely great for a cheap holster.
I see'em as a good starter till you can save up enough grip for a "real" holster. I like the UncleMike's Kydex Paddle hoslter. thing was like, $15, and I dig it.

This is my carry setup for hot weather. I find the Kel Tec very easy to conceal with just a t-shirt.

The magazine pouch is fine, but for everyday carry I will probably just carry a single extra mag in my existing Uncle Mike’s cordura nylon pouch. A total of 27 rounds of .45ACP should suffice for any social encounter, no real reason to carry TWO extras.

Range report to follow, will be punching holes in paper tomorrow.

What bothers me about that double mag holder is that fact that the mags face opposite directions.

Because your cell phone can be a very good deterrent tool. It does not take a legal eagle to know who you are calling. Most criminals are still opportunistic.
A cell phone & proper verbal asertiveness are excellent defense tool that can keep you from needing your pistol.
You never really know what "did not happen" due to proper training.
Last August I was on Vacation visiting in-laws. They all sleep late & I get up early. Every morning I would get out & walk 2 blocks to the local Quick Stop. Visit w. the clerk & the early workers getting ice, lunch, coffee....
Clerk got a call from one of their other stores about a young man in a blue hooded sweat shirt (remember 1st week in August) who loitered for quit a while. There were several workers getting coffee & preparing for work & the guy finall left.
Sure enough drove into the parking lot & got out of his car. Blue hooded sweat shirt, hood up, hands in warmer pockets. Me & the clerk at this time.
Cell out & dialed 911. Only need to push the send button to be in verbal contact. Verbal asertiveness is not telling a hood to get ot of the store or you are going to call the law or run his head through the wall. It is aserting self so that others know they are observed & may need to change tactics.
When he entered the door I said quit loudly, How are you young fellow. Is it really that cold outside? He never broke stride walking down one isle & up the next watching me watch him. Out the door & in his car.
We will never know what did not happen. There is no doubt in my mind he was looking for opportunity for something.
Cell should be incorporated into your defense training.

Yeah, I thought that was kinda odd myself. Besides, I can't see a real compelling need to carry more than one extra mag. 13 rounds of 45ACP and a Surefire flashlight (got one on order) is enough of a load for the off side, I think. If 27 rounds total aren't going to get me through a "social encounter" then I needed more backup than just a sidearm in the first place.

It has become a seemingly impossible task to find an IWB mag pouch for .380/9mm Mak single stack mags. Apparently I'm the only one who wants to carry such a thing that there's almost no market. I've found a grand total of ONE available, and it's not really what I want.

I'm looking for a nylon or leather IWB mag holder that will hold a .380/9mm Mak single stack magazine. I have an FEG PA-63. I'd like to find something that holds 2 mags (they're only 7 shots/ea), but a single mag pouch will do. Anyone know of anything that will work?

get a clip style, and just turn it IWB. to my idiotic mind that could work.

or, hey, gitcha a shoulder rig. on yer days when you wanna go IWB, juss wear the mag holder. gitcha two, and then you can have mags on both sides, to offset the weight.

That's the plan. I can't find a clip-style mag pouch sized for a single stack .380.

My shoulder rig is on backorder. It's the Classic Lite.

What Galco does not have is a clip-style magazine pouch in my size. Behold:

I just bought a single stack 1911 mag holder that I like. I think that it will fit different size mags.
