There's nothing more "aggressive" about the Golden Saber bullet design than any other common defensive JHP. Just as "limp-wristing" while firing will cause FTE and FTF problems, limp-handling when clearing the chamber will cause fumbling and you likely won't get the round out, or you'll jam it up in the ejection port.XDSConcealer wrote:This question is somewhat related to the topic at hand. Has anyone that owns a XDS and also loaded it with defense rounds, specifically Golden Sabers, had difficulty in ejecting live ammo from the chamber? I've only noticed this problem with the Golden Sabers but every time I try and clear the chamber of a live round I have a heck of a time getting the round out of the chamber. The round keeps getting caught up as it's being ejected. I tried unloading my gun with Hydra Shock, white box target rounds and I don't have this problem, it only seems to happen with the Golden Sabers.
Obviously it's because of the aggressive nature of the round
Remove the magazine and snap the slide back to the locked position like you mean it. Don't try to just "ease" it back. And don't "cup" the ejection port. Pull the slide back from the rear the way you are supposed to. Let the round fly.
I carry 230gr Golden Sabers, and they perform flawlessly in my XDs. So does COR-BON, Gold Dot and Hydra-Shok.
