Post by AddyLO »

From their Facebook page:

Friends of Crossbreed, it is with the greatest sadness that we share with you that our extraordinary friend and Founder, Mark Craighead, passed away this afternoon. We will continue his commitment to the values that made his life count and that created the quality products that you count on. He'd want you remember the Cross in Crossbreed. He always did.

Wow. That was unexpected :(

Looks like he succumbed from complications related to a heart attack.

I found this from Rob Pincus, who knew Mark very well (Rob made some great videos funded by Mark). Sorry for the weird URL, it's the only one I can find right now.

I did not know he was that old either. I had just ordered a holster from him and received an email that it was sent yesterday. We will pray for his family.

How sad. Coincidentally I just received my Crossbreed Supertuck on Monday. Even had a brief e-mail exchange with Mark regarding how happy I was. RIP.

Sucks big time! I did alot of research and bought before I've been approved of my TX CHL. My goods were sent 4/23/12. I feel blessed to have a part of his life's calling on my side.

Anyone:

When I attended the last CHL Forum day @ Friendswood PSC around October 2010, I had a workshop with a fellow
who ran one of the holster companies. Was this Mark Craighead?

Whoever it was was not impressed with my gunhandling (2 handed, awkward slide work on my Taurus PT-111) but
did say I was his kind of guy because I carried TWO guns. I felt redeemed by the latter opinion.

Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind;
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
