My "new" Kimber polymer pseudo 1911
This thing is as out there as it get for a 1911, Plastic frame, double stacked, external extractor, and bull barrel. If only it had Para's LDA! haha. Took it out put 50 rounds through it. Shot perfect and made tight groups. Kimber fanboys hate the thing and it has a bad rep. But a lot of the bad review were here-say and most of the goods one were people that actually have one. Cabelas has a 30 day "warranty" on their used guns, so I said what the heck! I'm a 1911 guy, but certainly not a Kimber boy.

Nice pistol. It would be nice if you would re-size your photos before posting. It would much easier to see the whole image. These images are 2,048 × 1,536. Thanks.

Is that better? I usually use my cell phone camera, this is my first point and shoot and I'm not used to have like a billion megapixelsG26ster wrote:Nice pistol. Well, its interesting looking for sure.
If you like it and it runs well, that's all that really matters!

To you guys they probably suck being only 7 yards. It shot more "precise" than "accurate" but I don't claim to be a good shot. So its probably my lack of accuracy learning the sights. let me snap some photos of the targets!
Between the two there are 40 rounds including some fliers.

I looked at those when they were still being made but just never wound up buying one. I had a friend who had the sub-compact model and it shot well. Just about every double stack 1911 seems to get a bad rep. I've had some and was happy with them.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.

If thats the case, Rock River is putting out one. I am tempted as I think highly of RRA.carlson1 wrote:Good job. I always wanted to try the 1911 in ploymer.

I carried one when i worked nights in south houston. hard to beat 14rds on tap of 230g with a spare mag of another 13. I had not one single issue with mine. The bad rep is usually just people repeating hearsay.

this gun is "old" They gave it up years back, although not sure why they couldn't get any where with it? S&W and Sig do just fine with their externals on their 1911's.psijac wrote:Kimberly just won't give up on the external extractor thing

So Kevin, how fat is this thing in the hand compared to M&P, XD, XDm, and Glock .45s?
