New 1911 from Fusion Firearms

#1

Post by Sidro »

Just took delivery of this today. Alloy gray frame, stainless slide, all black small parts, white Cocobolo grips, bobtailed with a 4" bbl. Tritium adjustable sights, top cut serrations and chainlink on msh and front of grip. It is a joy to shoot and nice to look at. Works so good that my wife will turn in an order to build one for her soon. Will have to wait till son comes in to post pics.

Oh yeah, not a .45 acp on this one, it is in 357 Sig caliber. Little more snap than a .45 but still quite comfortable to shoot.

I highly reccomend Fusion for a custom or semi-custom build.

This should tide y'all over:

BTW: The FusionFirearms.com site is just AWFUL. Pretty pistols, but the website. The horror. The horror.

I never stopped to consider that 1911's can be chambered for .357 sig. That just added one more gun to my "must own someday" list! Very sweet looking gun! What is the mag capacity for it?

And yeah, the Fusion website is rough for sure. "rlol"

357 Sig packs a pretty good punch. I just didn't like that ammo was going for near double what it should, and that it was so hard to find.

Fantastic looking 1911! I see their kit deals on the site too, pretty good prices and haven't heard of them before. Might make a good project when I build up the gun-fund. Could finally get to work with the gun-kote I have. Maybe a commander with tan frame black slide? :cheers2:

Out of curiousity (not criticism) what made you choose .357SIG rather than something more traditional, like .38 Super?

Enjoy your new gun!

The pistol pictured above is not mine. The mag capacity is 8 rds. I chose 357sig over .38 super for availability of ammo, I don't reload and have always liked the 357sig caliber and love the 1911 platform. There are pictures of it over on the 1911 forum. Great shooting pistol.

Where do you get your .357Sig ammo from? I know .357Sig used to be scarce once upon a time, but still expensive nonetheless. 30 bucks for a box of 50 for WWB is purdy expensive. Where do you get your ammo from? :bigear:

Cheers.
