Mesquite Rodeo Gun Show - ever been?

Re: Mesquite Rodeo Gun Show - ever been?
Yes, I went to one last year. Seemed typical of the gun shows in the area. It was maybe about one-half to one-third the size of the Original FW Gun Show...there were actually quite a few tables selling firearms, at least. A couple of other shows I've been to had a lot more of the "nicknacks, jerky and memorabilia" type stuff. I did manage to pick up a case of 7.62x54R for a good price. I'd say it would be okay to go if you live close by, just looking for something to do, and aren't trying super hard to find a specific deal...if you do go, I hope you have fun and find something you like. Good luck.

My partner and I have a table there, so we go to all of them. Mesquite Rodeo is a nice little show. A nice, clean, air conditioned facility and pretty well attended by some of the major dealers. They always seem to have a nice crowd, but you can see it all in 1 1/2 hours and take your time.
Next weekend, August 20 & 21 is the Dallas Market Hall show. This is the biggest in the area and they have some of just about everything. They move a lot of guns and assorted gear there.
August 27 & 28 is the Original Fort Worth Gun Show ( the big one ). They advertise 1200 tables, but I am not sure about that anymore. You have to pay $5 to park and that and the admission has driven a lot of business to Dallas.
The next major show is Irving Convention Center on Sept. 10 & 11. This is about the same size as Mesquite Rodeo.
thanks,
George

Thank you both for your feedback.
I am definitely thinking about the Dallas Market Hall Show.

I will be attending the Dallas show, as that is about all I have time for. It will be my first time there, but I am attending with another forum member who frequents most shows in the area. I'm really looking forward to it...

I don't think I've missed a Rodeo Show since they started. It has grown some but the venue is limited. It is sad the Big Town show has deteriorated so much. Market Hall is the best of all. The original Ft. Worth show is great too but they have terrible parking and make you pay for it as well.

Wife and I went yesterday, really enjoyed it. FYI, $1 off coupons are on the promoter's website. Bought an AR and a pocket holster, oh and some ammo too.
