Way to go dallas_drummer! My brother and I are going bright and early in the morning. Not sure what I'll come back with. (I'm not going to shop for guns since I haven't received my renewal license yet).

Ha, I knew you'd be going tomorrow!!! Great shooting at the match today, by the way! I couldn't get a kitchen pass to go, so I'm going to wait for the Mesquite show coming up on the 15th.

Great scoop on the XD!! Bachman has some great prices and they typically run even cheaper at shows. I think my next pistol is going to come from them. Nice people too......

My wife went with me to this show. She was going to which grip style and handgun felt best to her.

We came home with this:

1989 Hi-Power, and I don't think it had more than a box or two of ammo through it. We took care of that today. Went out to the range and she shot 150 rounds through it. It's a nice firearm, and she did get a good deal on it. $525.00 for a safe queen.

Yeah, I couldn't help it. It was girl's weekend at Lake Tawakoni, so I was a bachelor Saturday and today.

I did pick up a 13 round magazine and a Fobus paddle holster for IDPA.

I saw what you meant about getting a lower receiver for an AR at that show. Plenty of those around. Good prices too.

Nice score on the Hi-power! Looks like it would be fun to shoot.

yeah, getting an XD40 for practically an even trade, I'd say you conquered.
now, of course, we need pics, and a range review.

dallas_drummer, you got a heck of a price on that glock. I paid $435 new for mine a couple years ago.

My wife and I went Sunday and came home with a S&W M&P 9c. It fits her hand very nicely. I put about 250 rounds through it tonight with zero problems. It was pretty darn accurate, too. I was shooting about as well with it as with my G19, even though it was brand new. The trigger was a bit rough at first, but appears to be breaking in and getting smoother (S&W should clean them up more before shipping, IMHO). I think it will be a nice carry piece. 12+1, yet very compact.
