Nave the full size M&P 40 and 40c. I really like them. My father In law makes leather holsters and that is what I carry mine in. I would like a holster I could tuck my shirt in with though.

Good Morning good folks.
Ive enjoyed my stay thus far. Being a vet to online forums I sometimes forget to introduce myself and just jump right into things.
About me.

40 yrs young
Male
Retired Army/Start Flight School in August
Married 20 yrs in August and we have a 7 yr old son.
Years CHL - in the process
Originally from NYC. Moved to TX in 93 and love it.
Carry guns will be -Witness 10mm in my packin T. Ive been wearing it around the house. Its a big gun but they call it compact. :confused5
I also have a 380 but I dont trust that thing. I just use it now for size comparison with other pistols because it conceals really well.
Im lookin into pickin up the XD40 sub by springfield in a few days. I've held it in my hands it fits really well. It will conceal perfectly.

Nice to be here and there is a plethera of awesome info on this website for a newb like myself to learn from. Thank you :patriot:

I've been meaning to register for the longest time.

I'm late 30s, married with kids.

I've been licensed since '96 when the law passed. I'm a pretty staunch advocate of carry when at all possible. This site looks very educational and I linked it on my blog. I hope to have a lot of informative discussions here and offer my .02 if anyone will take it.

EDIT: Oh, forgot. My regular carry is a Glock 23 I've had for what seems like forever. I rotate my carry options depending on my ability to carry and dress as I'm sure we all do. I'm currently in the process of getting a P3AT for a BUG and those times when I just can't carry strong side.

Hi everyone!

Figured since I've been lurking around here doing some reading, I may as well go ahead and post a formal introduction.

I'm Mike. 31 yr old from the Round Rock/Pflugerville area.
IT guy for a local non-profit orginization.
Married to the love of my life for 10 years with 3 kids.
My wife and I are finally getting around to taking our CHL class this coming weekend and looking forward to it. We really wanted to go through the process together but having 3 kids and getting childcare for the long day has proven to be prohibitive with scheduling.
Carry weapons (once I have my plastic in hand, of course): Kimber Custom CDP II for me. Glock 23 Gen 4 for my wife. I initially didn't plan to go the full size 1911 route but when I got my hands on it, I fell in love and bought it on the spot. Despite the size, my test runs around the house have proven it to be a very comfortable weapon for carry. The lightweight frame helps alot. As for the Glock, that one is a no brainer... easy to carry and always reliable :)

I look forward to getting to know everyone here and chiming in when I can!

Greetings.

I am an about to retire lawyer and investment manager who has lived in San Diego since I was ordered here as a brand new Navy officer in the middle of the Viet Nam war.

I'm a native Texan and UT alum who grew up in the hill country and am planning to move back there in a year perhaps, after I get our businesses closed up here. Health issues are forcing me to retire, whether I want to or not. I've been looking at properties in the area between San Antonio and Austin, out towards Canyon Lake perhaps. We'll see what is available as the time approaches.

Despite the somewhat peculiar gun laws in California, I have had a carry permit here, and will obtain one as soon as I become a resident of Texas again. I own now a Sig 226 Navy, a Ruger GP100, an H&K P7M8 and a 45C, plus the usual Ruger rimfire plinkers and a shotty or two. I also have some California legal so-called evil black rifles that I am looking forward to restoring to "full functionality." I have participated in IDPA and bullseye matches here, although the ravages of old age and decrepitude may keep me from going at it in the future.

I look forward to living in a free state again, and learning and participating here as opportunity permits.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
