Conceal clothing options

I'm not big on shopping for clothes. If I stumble across something that I like, chances are I'll grab it... but heading out to a shopping mall or department store with the sole purpose of expanding my wardrobe is not something I do on a regular basis.

now, usually this is fine - as I run my own businesses and rarely is appearance an issue. However, now that I will be carrying a weapon that needs to be concealed, I'm discovering that my current options aren't going to cut it.

Is there anyone on here that might share a similar build? (6'2" 195lbs) Almost all of my shirts stop just below the belt line, sometimes higher after a wash or two. even raising my arms up to chin height will reveal some skin once in a while.

I've tried big and tall stores and the smallest 'big and tall' item they seem to carry is a Large Tall (LT) and that swallows me up completely... looks like a dang tent.

any suggestions?

I wear dress shirts untucked with the sleeves rolled up, it's a good look if I do say so myself.

That is a good option. You can also opt for fishing type shirts, hawaiian or bowling shirts...

I'm 6'1" and have an extra 40 lbs on you (working on that) but I can routinely get away with XL tshirts, even with a full size 1911.

Another piece of advice: Hang all of your shirts to dry instead of throwing them in the dryer. I find it shortens up a lot of my tshirts that were long enough to conceal well before the dryer.

the untucked dress shirt is a great idea - im also about to head to Kohls in search of some short sleeved dress shirts... man, i hate shopping. lol

when i asked the wife, 'babe - wanna go to Kohls with me later?' she spun and gave me that, 'what have you been drinking?' look.

I'm 6'1 200lb, and I'm running into the same problem as you. As stated before the dress shirt option works nicely. I've had success concealing under just my normal polos as well, I usually wear a medium.

found 1 shirt at target (long sleeve dress shirt style) and nada at Kohls.

the main problem i have is how long my torso is... shirt length is always going to be a problem for me, i guess.

I have the same problem. I'm 6'4" 220lbs and I wear cargo shorts often in this Texas heat. I like wearing Nike or Underarmor collared dry fit shirts, untucked. That hides my M&P c pretty good. It does print a bit if i bend etc... U can find them for $20 at TJ Max. My wife finds them at other places to but I couldn't tell u where. Maybe this helps...

Sounds like your best bet is tall sizes. I am 6'2", 215 and I dont have any problems with regular dress shirts. I know this might hurt but you might try going into a store that makes quality shirts, one of my favorite places for shirts is the Burlington coat factory. They got great prices on quality brands.

Check out some of the shirts at Bass Pro, not just the fishing shirts but others. They are cut with some extra lenght. They work well for me.

Dickies USA makes the clothing I prefer when I carry.

They are located downtown ftw.

I purchase the cargos, work shirts, and jeans for carry.

Big and tall shops will usually have extra length clothing that is otherwise a normal fit.
