Hi everyone! I'm new here so I'll go ahead and introduce myself before I forget :)

I'm 25, female and an East Texan. As of January, I'm a commuter student, which is great because I spent two years living on campus at my last school.

Let's see...I'm a rifle lover at heart. I still miss the M16 that I had when I was in the Army. But, hey, a decent .22 is nice as well. I'm a new convert to handguns, so I'm trying to get in as much practice as possible with the .45 - I'd really like to carry when I'm ready and all the paperwork is in order and such.

So, that's about it for now I guess. :)

Welcome, Jerry and Sarah (and thank you for serving in the Army).

And welcome to a great 2007!

I'll take that under advisement. Ahem. But will at least send you a housewarming email once you get to Texas. ;-)

Getting pretty crowded over here in East Texas.

Always great to have a lady join us, especially one younger in years. It gives me comfort for future generations.

Hey all.

I've posted a few messages on various topics but yet to introduce myself so I reckon I better go ahead and do that now.

My name is David and I'm 36 years old. I live in North Fort Worth and have had my CHL since 96 +/-.

I was a Military Policemen for 8 years in the Army Reserves. I was lucky enough to be in one of the last classes that got to qualify on the Colt Commander .45. Since the Army was phasing out the 45 we also qualified on the Beretta 92F. Upon being assigned to my duty station I would never carry a 45 again. The only person in our unit that carried a 45 was our Company Commander. To this day I still remember him cussing the Army for doing away with the 45 and bringing in the Beretta. I recall him saying that he'd retire before he'd carry the Beretta. Good times.

I've been with a police department in the DFW area since 94, though I am not currently a peace officer.

I have several pistols but I am currently carrying a S/W 4014.

I do not profess to be any kind of gun expert. I couldn't tell you one thing about reloading, fps, fmj, or much else. I just like em and believe in our right to carry and the 2nd Amendment.

Any questions please let me know, otherwise nice to meet you all.

David

David-
Welcome! I have enjoyed reading your posts! I look forwad to our future discussions and learning from your concealed carry experience. I hope that you are enjoying yourself. We have in common a lack of reloading skills  I might blow something up so I do not even attempt! Have a great day.

Howdy,
My name is Scott and I live in Humble. I am 43 and I have had my CHL for 2 years. This seems like a valuable resource for information and I have enjoyed the reading here. I recently purchased a Sig P226 .40 S&W and I have enjoyed shooting it at the range. Thanks again for a great forum.
