Re: If you could have any five guns???
Tough question. I am going to assume you are limiting choices to weapons which are legal for civilians to own. In that case,
1) H&K MR556A1 (personal and family defense)
2) Benelli M4 (home defense)
3) Wilson Combat Tactical Elite (gotta have a 1911)
4) H&K MK 23
5) Marlin 336C (it's not sexy, but I need a nuts and bolts hunting rifle and there is nothing 30-30 can't take in my part of the country)

Having only five guns is not fair.
I like to think that I already own them.
If I had to sell everything and keep five it would be:
Colt Detective Special DS-II
Colt Python .357 Mag
High Standard Supermatic Trophy .22LR
Browning Lightning O/U 12 Gauge
Remington 700 in .308Win

Re: If you could have any five guns???
1) Marlin 39A
2) Glock 19
3) BCM Midlength AR-15
4) Winchester M70 .30-06
5) Remington 870
Those should do just about anything needs to be done in North America.
Whenever I've played this game before I've been able to get it down to 4. I'm of the opinion that you can really do anything you would need to with 4 guns:
1) handgun in a good defensive caliber
2) centerfire rifle capable of taking deer-sized game
3) a .22 (handgun or rifle, your choice)
4) 12 or 20 gauge shotgun
Fortunately, "need" isn't a prerequisite for buying a gun.

Re: If you could have any five guns???
1) Springfield XDM .40S&W - I love the .40 caliber and the Springfield XDM is on my number one to buy list. 16+1 rounds is pretty awesome.
2) Alexander AWS Entry Rifle in .50 Beowulf. - I would of course have multiple options to adjust this firearm for.
3) Ruger 10/22 with an 18.5 in barrel. This should be on everybody's list.
4) Kel-Tec 12 gauge. This isn't actually out yet, but I will be buying one for the bedside when it gets released.
5) Ruger Blackhawk .45LC(I actually own this one and it is my favorite handgun)
