Belly-band holster: the underrated holster.
I am using more and more the 8" Belly-band holster with 2 mags and Subcompact under a sweater, fits very well, stays in place and very comfortably while seated. It is the most underrated holster. The price is very good too.
Do you use it?

I own a couple, never used them ... 20 years old ones
When they first came out, everyone with elastic and a sewing machine made them... I'm sure the companies that lasted this long are probably better than what I own ... what brand is yours, because my two are so different in quality.

I wear Bib Overalls a LOT. They are very loose and easy to wear. I wonder if this holster would work with Bibs?

probably bib overalls might work; prices are cheap
that does look better quality than either of mine, especially at the holster part.
one of mine has like plastic sewn to elastic as a holster
the other has more elastic sewn on elastic as a holster BUT has a long Velcro over-the-shoulder strap for heavy guns also.
I liked the over the shoulder feature, but elastic on elastic wasn't trustworthy for retention of the heavy guns I had.
Neither of my two had good "holsters"
I might take another look as these generations/quality/design seem to have evolved into something I might be interested in again.

Should work with bibs I wear mine with dress shirts rather than an IWB. Easier to draw from than pulling shirttail getting hand under the hem and on gun butt. I love the fact that it works equally well with all types of hand guns revolver or semi. Plus I can wear it high or low depending on the gun.

with my PX4 Subcompact, it holds the pistol firmly in place. 1 or 2 mag on the side, mine has 3 slots on the left side.

Will it reduce the appearance of my love handles?
If so, I might get one just for that.

hmmmm good point ... 20 years ago I was shaped differently, but if I eat more, maybe I can use it as a bra holster.Weg wrote:You must not be fat. They are very un-comfortable for me.
Although ... it might actually work for me as a hernia truss. or as a girdle to reduce that dunlop tire that done lopped over my belt.

5'10 and 240 just buy the right size and no problem. I normally undo two buttons lock the pistol in COM style box leave mags or speed strips in place then re holster after work. Wouldn't want to carry a large frame magnum revolver that way all day but have carried 2 SP101 3" that way for 5-6hrs no problem.

I have an old one I used to use. It worked well with lightweight guns. I don't think it works as well with heavier stuff or if you are doing any sort of physical activity.

Re: Belly-band holster: the underrated holster.
This is what I use under my scrubs, and until last week all I had for my P238... I can wear it all day without my weapon, as I can't carry at work, and then holster up easily in the car. I did learn... the hard way to be sure my extra mag was in the mag pocket and not the extra holster pocket... the mag pocket is close on the bottom, the gun is open... It is a VERY strange sensation to have first one bullet and then the whole magazine walk down your leg!
I do notice that it does help my jeans fit better, kinda holds my baby fat in (baby is only 14 I will lose the weight soon!)
That being said, I did wear it to a function with a lot of huggy women, and while no one noticed my P-shooter, I noticed it. A lot of sitting in jeans and my hammer/rear site rubbed a very sore site on my belly. I had to wear cross draw the next day. I would always recommend wear an under shirt! Love my underarmor type, don't know what I did without them before! JMPHO
