Welcome aboard, Rusty.

CALIX: I spent 10 years in California, then hurried back to to Texas...where firearm shopping is a much friendlier proposition.

Hey, all.
New to this forum, but not to forums in general. usually I post on band forums, so this outta be a different environment altogether!
hopefully, not as many whiny emo kids, here, right?

anyway, a lil 'bout me. I live in Lewisville, Texas. I have lived in Texas since 8th grade, and I love it. I'm not that dude that runs around with LoneStar tats all over, but I do love me some Texas.
course, the rest of my family have relocated to California.
but I don't hate them for that.... :P
I took the CHL class back in April (april fool's day, I'm sure there's a deeper meaning there....) and got my license several weeks later.
I own a Beretta 92FS 9mm, and a Smith & Wesson Sigma 9mm.
I love them like they were my children, each for their differences, and the different things that make them great.

of course, everyone has their individual reasons for getting a CHL.
you see, this past March I was helping a friend of mine and his pregnant girlfriend move into their apartment in Dallas.
basically, a group of "individuals" attempted to force their way through me and into the apartment to raid, rape, and pillage.
they brandished weapons, and shot at us.
fortunately, I was able to hold them off at the door (with help from my friend), and they neither injured us, nor did they get anything.

However

if I'da been packin'

well, let's just say things woulda gone differently!

so here I am. glad ta meet ya.

Welcome y'all. I think with "Casselthief" that puts us Lewisvillians to the count of 3.

Hi y'all.

I'm Nate. I was born and raised in Shamrock (in the panhandle). I did 8 years in the Marine Corps and now live in Utah. I'm an air traffic controller and custom holster maker. If I knew about this place sooner, I'd have been here long ago.
I don't know, you tell me.

Greetings, Nate. Thank you for your service--Marines, air traffic controller, and holster artisan.

The only negative I see is that you don't live in Texas.

Hello all!

I'm a 37 year old male in El Paso, Texas. I work in the IT industry at a large employer in El Paso.

I've been reading the site for almost year now-- This has to be one of the best resources for information and updates!

Anyway, I've had my CHL since March and carry almost daily.
