Well, its kinda simple here, I received the nickname Scooter because of name Scott by a friend at work about 12 years ago and 3 years ago I started racing bikes. My newest bike is an 03.

My screen name was used as a post signature quote by someone on PDO and I liked the sound of it so I snagged it as my own.

I like it expressed like this:

Any gun
Anywhere
Any time
...anything less is gun control!

This is very similar to the F-14 drivers slogan...Anytime, Anywhere...

It was a very true statement of fact!

I never thought I would see the end of that aircrafts active days...Truely a sad time...

I earned the nickname "Hoss" back in college. I was a member of the rodeo team, the rodeo club, and Alpha Gamma Rho. The ladies involved in these groups got together and decided that I was "A big, dumb, loveable oaf like ol' Hoss Cartwright", as they said while presenting me with a plaque at our formal.

I didn't do much at all in forums untill just after my divorce.

Hoss is free! Just popped into my head when asked for a screen name.

I may have come from a moment of bitterness, but while that is gone now, the name remains.

It also may imply - DWM, 33, big guy, loves guns/shooting, looking for woman with same interests.

Most screenames seem to fit into two categories, really interesting names that were carefully thought up, or haphazardly chosen ones when you need a login that ended up sticking. Mine is in the second category.

When I needed to pick a forum name for a website years ago I decided to combine my pride in being from Texas and newfound status as a Firefighter together for a name. Texasfire was taken so I had to come up with something else. The most common report writing system used in the fire service in Texas is a TEXFIRS, short for Texas Fire Incident Reporting System, so quickly modified I became Texfire. Most of my friends online call me Tex, which is original anywhere but Texas... It's grown on me, so it's become my online persona.

Only problem is the name is so jippy, I've always been reluctant to use it on sites related to the fire service for fear of the ribbing I'd get from the guys at the station. Could be worse, could have gone with something like Smoke-eater, or DragonSlayer instead.

My screen name is random and choosen to work across all internet sites,forums,computers, etc. Had it since 1991,and before that I was actually using my real name (or at least my real initials on the net).

My passowrd is also randomish. Used to be sequence of processor instruction codes w/ operands. But now, it has evolved into something completely interesting.

Nothing creative in my case, I have a little ranch and it's in Texas, hence TX Rancher.
It's a little cow/calf operation, and we run a custom baling operation on the side.
Having a ranch does have some benefits though, I took the tractor and made myself a little range. It's nice being able to go out and shoot when I want.
