Cabela's has Sellier & Bellot Handgun 92gr FMJ .380 on sale for 13.99/50, plus an extra $20 off orders of $150. I've shot about 1000 rds of this ammo with a P238 and a DB380, with no issues.

I saw some Remington JHP .380 50rds at Bass in Pearland yesterday, it had no price and I didn't ask, just assume expensive since most all ammo there is.

Not sure whether people are still looking for Federal Champion 9mm at Walmart, but there seems to be plenty available. Purchased 10 boxes in Bedford (121 & Cheek-Sparger) and 20 boxes in Ft. Worth (Oakmont & Hulen).

I bought as much as I could afford at the WalMart in Lewisville yesterday and there was plenty left when I left. Of course, I could only afford to buy 2 boxes each of .40 and 9mm. :) Seems like this stuff is becoming more plentiful finally. :hurry: :thumbs2:

I'll through this one in too

Walmart in Baytown had the same. I bought a box, but I'm not sure if there were any more. They also had several boxes of Federal Champion .45 auto for $15.97/box. I bought 5 of them last week, and they had a bunch more. They also had Remington .45 auto for $18/box. I bought 3 last night.

FYI - I went through 3 boxes of the Federal .45 auto Sunday, and could not believe how filthy my pistol was when was finished. It had been cleaned prior to going, and it looked like it had never seen a cleaning kit when I got done. I was really shocked at how dirty it was. I was also have issues with the last round of the magazine with this ammo. I had 4 stovepipes, and a failure to eject. All with this ammo, and all on the last round of the magazine. I was using Para factory mags and Wilson Combat mags. I had no issues using my Kimber Mag. I did shoot 20 rounds of Speer Gold Dots without issue, 2 mags full of hydrashocks, and 2 mags of WWB JHP without issue also. Judging from my experience, it appeared to be an issue with the federal ammo.

Went to Cabela's in Buda today. They had Federal American Eagle "Tactical AE223" for $9.99/box of 20.

On line Cabela's sale price was $6.29/box, and Cabela's retail store will match their own internet price, so I picked up 20 boxes for $125.80, rather than $199.80.

BUT . . . I had a Cabela's coupon from one of their mailings that was good for $20 off a purchase of $120 or more, bringing my price down to $105.80/20 boxes.

Also had some old Cabela's bucks I threw into the mix, but even so, the final price of $5.29/box (+ tax) is the cheapest I've found for "name brand" .223 ammo in a long time. Not bad when you don't have time to reload . . .

(Could have used the "$150 Cabela's Buck Card" they mailed me and effectively gotten the ammo even cheaper, but would have had to buy $500 worth to work that deal.)

Academy in Grapevine had .380 blazer for $18 and change on Saturday afternoon. I have not seen .380 on the shelf there in forever.

Found the same prices at the Pearland walmart. The only problem I have with the Pearland Walmart is that you need to be an expert tracker to find someone to open the case for you.

In regards to Federal, i agree...its very dirty. Winchester seems to be much more clean.

Academy in Pearland had lots of ammo including .380 WWB in 50 and 100 rounds, usual pricing.

Odd... I've had the opposite experience. Federal (50 rnd 9mm FMJ from Walmart) leaves my gun almost looking like it hasn't been fired, but Winchester (100 rnd 9mm FMJ white box from Walmart) makes it look like I tumbled it around in a charcoal bag.

interesting.

After thinking about maybe im using too much lube? I like to run my 1911s wet but maybe its too much and the powder residue sticks to the oil/grease. You could be correct, sir.
