One question about the after market mags. How well do they fit this model with the bobtail? Seems like the extra length might defeat the purpose of this model.

The Wilson Combat magazines do not fit flush - I'll try to take pictures later this week to show how much they extend. Once I have a chance to test them at the range, I may look into getting the Lo-Profile base pad for the 47D.

I finally have one.

This is 50 rounds at 7 yards. I had already put 100 through the pistol at that point, nominally going through the CHL course of fire for the second 50.



That is the best I've ever shot with any pistol at that distance, so I am extremely pleased with the Super Carry's accuracy.

I had two failures to return to battery in the first 50 rounds, and a mix of feed problems and failures to return over the subsequent 100. It was a little frustrating, but good practice I suppose. I am definitely going to go a little heavier on the lube after this cleaning and try to get back next week to continue the break-in cycle.

It seems they very tight at first and need some running time for everything to smooth out and loosen up.

I was more generous than usual, but that still wasn't very much. I'll be sure to give it a thorough soaking this time.

Yes they are nice aren't they. Guess USA1 is just going to have to break down and join in. Is nice being retired though. Able to go shoot in the early mornings when the rest are off at work.
Now I have a question. Do you practice by aiming with one eye open or both eyes open? In a situation, you wouldn't have time or want to aim with one eye shut.
