Guess I just need to introduce myself to break the ice...

Re: Introduce yourself
Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier,
I have lived in North Texas for 2 years. Moved from Arizona where the gun laws are some of the most liberal in the nation.
41 years old
Married with 4 children
My ocupation is construction
I have been carrying concealed since Nov 1, 2009 but I have been around hunting and guns all of my life.
My carry weapons are G22, G23, and G27. I like to carry the G22 and 23 equally, usually IWB but sometimes OWB also and have no problems concealing them. I also carry the 27 in an ankle holster almost always. Now that it is summer though, I may get rid of the bug on the ankle since it would be hard to conceal with shorts.
Glad to be here and I hope that I can contribute to the wealth of knowledge and information that is already here.

Re: Introduce yourself
I've been lurking around the forum for a little over a year now, so I guess it's time I introduce myself. I'm a 26 year old male, a CPA, and I've had my CHL for about a year. I got it as soon as I was eligible (everyone makes a few mistakes in college). I have been carrying an XD 9mm SC, but I just picked up a new LCP last week. As soon as I can find .380 ammo, I'll work the new one into the carry rotation. My state house district is 105 I think; Linda Harper-Brown is my rep.
Re: Introduce yourself
Just joined the forum and just sent off my CHL paperwork. I'm a pharmacy student, veteran, husband, and dad. I'd like to say thanks to everyone for all the info provided on this site (specifically about carrying on campus). I'll just check my weapon in with the University Police for now, but I appreciate knowing about the empty holster protests.

Re: Introduce yourself
Just joined the forum. I'm a 36 year old teacher from South Texas. My father was an active hunter so I became familiar with firearms at an early age. I purchased my first rifle when I turned 17 or 18.
I just completed and mailed in my application. I have been lurking in the forum for a while, and have found lots of great information. The posters seem friendly, and I hope to become a regular.
Thanks.

Re: Introduce yourself
Been on the site for a couple of months now and decided it is time to introduce myself...
40 years old, married, and we have two great dogs that we consider our children (a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Shih Tzu.) Been a public school teacher for 18 years.
New to CHL, but not new to guns in general. My dad used to kid (I think) that he made his choice on voting based on the NRA's recommendations... so you can imagine that I made him proud when I decided to get my CHL.
Other interests are cooking/grilling, finance, chess, and as my wife tells me... an obsession with cleaning up trash, litter and those annoying illegal bandit signs in our neighborhood.
Right now I'm carrying a Glock 19, wife has a Bersa .380
I really enjoy all the advise, opinions, and discussions on this forum... hopefully I'll be able to add my .02 cents worth!

Re: Introduce yourself
Thanks, I currently work at Pasadena ISD, although I did work at CCISD for a number of years... until budget cuts required the district to eliminate some elective classes.Bayllor wrote:Welcome DJ...
