Handgun is easy a Sig 220..... Long gun I would have to go with a Marlin lever gun..... now since I can only have 1 I guess the Marlin would win out, can hunt with it and defend myself.....

The way this thread is going, I'd have to go with the AR...because zombies seem to be just around the corner!!!

Given my current stock of ammo I would have to say the AR. Now if you were providing the ammo, I would say my 12ga M500A with both the 28" ribbed vented barrel and the 18.5" home defense barrel. Still one gun right? Guess I need to stock up on shotgun shells.

It would depend on my situation. If I were in a survival mode, in Texas, probably a 30-30 lever action. Good for hunting, both game animals as well as 2-legged varmints.

If we're restricting it to non-1911 handguns, I'd say my .357 revolver with a 4" barrel. Still somewhat concealable, still good for self-defense, but also decent for hunting if the need arises, and you're in a short-range situation.

I guess my previous post attempt didn't go through. I chose not not to include the 1911 as it would be every other post. Besides, if I had only 1 firearm, I'd take an average rifle over the finest pistol every day of the week. I've gotten some fine ideas from these posts though for my 401G. ;-)

Well in that case, I'll go for a TC Contender or Encore with barrels in multiple calibers. But I don't know if it qualifies as a ristol or a pifle.
