.45 ACP, Federal brand, 50 rounds, 230 grain, FMJ, 3 boxes, $15.97.

It seems odd that they are charging more for the FMJ than the hollow point. Heck...at 12.27 a box for 45 I would buy a couple cases of it for plinking. Darn...thinking about it, if they were a little closer, I would go buy that box. it isn't really worth it to me to drive out to Lewisville hoping for one box of ammo.

03lightningrocks, et al:

Notice that I don't always include the number of rounds in each box.
The reason for that is that many ammo boxes do not clearly state on
them how many rounds are in there.

If I can see the number of rounds, I include them.

SIA
Oh...I get it now...they were probably 25 round boxes. Thanks for the clarification..

They also have Magtech 308 for $28 a box of 50.
WOW! 25 boxes on the shelf at 3:30 in the afternoon! Wow! That tells me a lot! Congrats on snagging those's. Were the .380's magtech also?
Alas, no. The 380 is Fiocchi. I think the only reason there was so much left is that nobody knew ir was there, and I wasn't about to tell anybody else. ;-)

I ordered this one...ordered 1000 rounds. they have already shipped. May be some in stock still...I know nothing of the brand...it is for plinking so I just need it to fire.

I'm just happy I foound any 380 at all. The wife was talking about tying a bungee cord to her Bersa so she would get it back when she had to throw it at the target.

Wally world has been hit and miss. I found 20 boxes of 45 on one day and none the next. I should have bought more than 5 boxes at $16 each.

Cabelas had at least 2 dozen boxes of WWB 45 yesterday.

Did you happen to look at the price? I was in Cabelas Ft Worth last week and they wanted 25-27 bucks a box of fifty for 45(depending on brand). Too rich for my blood. It is real tough for me to pay double what I paid a little over a year ago. This situation is getting stupid. i liked it better when there weren't so many people shooting. I find myself praying the noobies/yuppies latch onto some other fad so I can get reasonably priced ammo again.

Yesterday morning at about 8:30 I saw Federal .45 at Wal-Mart at Spring Creek and 75 at $15.95 (I think) for a box of 50. May have been $16.95, but either way a lot cheaper than Cabela's or Academy.

Saturday mornings are usually a good time. They put it out every night and then it is there at 7:00 when they will sell it again in the morning.

Next time I go I will try to post it ASAP.

The one at Spring Creek and 75 is the one where a clerk told me that a local gun shop always buys them out. That was several months ago...maybe the local shop found a better source. I'm not sure who the local shop is that was buying the ammo. I asked the guys at BT and they said nope...not them.

LOL....are you serious???? That stuff is real hard to find around here. You do much shooting? Those of us that do...prefer live ammo over making bang sounds with our mouths. :tiphat: Interesting question. :smilelol5:

The FM-646 and I-45 WalMart had lots of 9mm this afternoon -- nearly thirty 50-round boxes of WWB @ $11.47 and nearly fifty 50-round boxes of Federal @ $9.47, plus the usual batch of Federal .40 and about ten boxes of .44 m0agnum.

The Kemah WalMart didn't have much of anything, other than the usual batch of Federal .40

Neither had any .380, .38 special, .357 or .45

I talked to the lady who does the ordering for the 646 store the other day -- she's had back-orders on everything that wasn't in stock for months -- the company won't even let her place any more orders.
